Upcoming Events

Our monthly social meetings are free and open to everyone—no boat or contribution required! All other tag-along trips and weekend events are community-supported. To join in, you can choose the path that suits you best: cast in a "Casual Cast-In" chip for the event, or drop a "Frequent Fisho" Anchor annual contribution to cover all your events for the year.

Tipplers Weekend

Tipplers Weekend Fishing / Camping Trip – 16 to 17 May 2026

The Moreton Bay Fishing Group are planning a weekend trip to Tipplers at South Straddie.

Travel down on Saturday with option to fish on the way, then back on Sunday with option to travel via offshore if Jumpin Pin is calm.

As map below we’ve booked a couple of pitches, so plenty of space for a fire / BBQ. If you want to camp on shore let me know as room for a couple of tents only. Plenty of room to anchor and sleep on your boat.

Option 1 - Departing Manly and travel down through the bay islands.
Option 2 - Drive to Horizon Shores for secure parking and a shorter trip across the sheltered waters – good option if windy. Horizon Shore charge about $20 per day for launch and secure parking

The plan is to gather at the campsite anytime after 3pm for a beer or two.

Since I doubt anyone will want to cook we can all go to the Tipplers café for dinner – they have a pretty good menu.
If you do want to bring our own food / BBQ you can use the campsite

All welcome plus families, we can discuss boat shares and more details at the MBFG meeting on 6 May 2026
