Moreton Bay Fishing Group spends the weekend at the famous Moreton Island’s Gutter Bar
What Happened
The weather was just too good to resist so the short overnight trip across the bay was ON.
10 Boats headed to Kooringal’s famous Gutter bar on Moreton Island on a Saturday in January for a lunchtime refreshment at the Gutter Bar, then beach ‘sundowners’ as we watch the sun set over the city in the distance.
The team included: Lanaki ( Terry and Adam); Sailfish (Derek); Hydrostatic (Jason); True North (Kai); Blue Pearl (Pieter); Stardust (Glenn & Ziggy); Luna (Greg); “the speed machine” (Jesse, Jodie & Saylor); Kaylee Rose (Lewis & John); Eli (Ryan & Angela).
The weather turned out to be great the whole weekend, with fishing possible on both days; albeit the offshore swell meant the South Passage Bar was not an option – instead the Gutter Bar provided food and drinks to keep the gang fully refreshed.
