What Happened

Trip Report - Moreton Bay Fishing Group –Trip Report - Sunday 14 June 26

17 keen MBFG members boarded 12 boats and headed out for the fishing Attack tag-along trip, some fishing offshore and some in Moreton Bay.

Conditions offshore were best described as sporty, and with a 1.8m swell on South Passage Bar the crossing was only suitable for those with experience and a sense of adventure.  Moreton Bay on the other hand had glamour conditions.

The moon phase and tide indicated a 5 star fishing day, unfortunately no one had told the fishes.  Most boats caught a good few undersize versions, but only our champion anglers catching enough for a decent feed.

But fishing wasn’t the biggest target on this Sunday, instead it was to win the fantastic MBFG Lucky Fisho competition.  A huge thanks for Wynnum Marine for offering the Moreton Bay Fishing Group the opportunity for the winner and a friend to spend an all expenses paid day fishing on one of their magnificent Cruisecraft 770 during the next MBFG Attack trip.   The names of all members who attended went into the hat and the winner will be announced at the next MBFG meeting on 1st July.
